Baby Quilt

The actual quilting of the baby quilt is done! and it looks ok... as long as you don't get too close...  I just have to trim the wadding and bind the sides, but first I need a baby name to embroider on it!

I quilted diagonal lines and also quilted around a few of the squares, picked out some of the patterns on the fabric and quilted three hearts.

  4. thank you for the nice comments. Ruth? I'm pretty much a beginner too.. have done the patchwork for 3quilts so far and am on my fourth, but this baby quilt is the first one i've actually quilted. i was a bit worried about the quiting bit because when i read about the stitching it made no sense at all! in the end it was easier than i thought and i could see myself getting better at it as i went along. I did buy a quilting hoop which made things easier, and used a small needle too!
