how to make an iron age shield

we made these in work on thursday and friday.
myself and my work buddy Ian came up with the design.
we also made the children draw out their designs on paper first...
this meant that it slowed the activity down (we were a bit too busy) and also made the children think a bit more about their designs.
I'm going to link up with Lakota's ta-dah tuesday even though i wrote this on saturday....

  1. Hi, Sian! I can't believe you had to make so many of those! :O What a cool activity for the kids.

Love your new banner, by the way ;D.

Hope you have a fun week!

  2. Great fun, my two love making shields - usually using all my tinfoil - this will be a good variation.

PS. I agree, Mumbles is lovely, I'd live there if I were back home (and could afford it)

  3. A good use of recycled plastic bowls and cardboard too.

  4. Looks like the kids had a great time. :) Awesome!!!

  5. v cool - bet the kids loved it and it's one of those great projects that amuses them doing it, and then gives them something great to play with at the end of it win:win

hello! so nice to hear from you...
