what i read in august

I read these books this August.  I also read The Girl Who Circumnavigated Fairyland in a Ship of her own Making by Catherynne Valente but forgot to take a picture of it. Not a bad reading month huh? my favourite was 'Anna Dressed in Blood' but I also loved 'The Hearing Trumpet' (bottom left) and 'Daughters of Aquarius: Women of the Sixties Counterculture'. Have you been reading anything good? please tell me!

  1. Hello Sian:
This is indeed a remarkable quantity of reading for just a single month. We have not read any of these titles and so you have given us some pointers for future novels.

We have been most intrigued to read novels written by a friend and fellow blogger, Paul Gervais, called 'Extraordinary People' and 'A Garden in Lucca'. Both are now out of print but we enjoyed themboth hugely.

  2. I've just finished The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry by Rachel Joyce and really enjoyed it. I've just started Under the Dome by Stephen King and it sounds really interesting! xx

  4. Gosh, that's quite a lot of reading. Pretty varied too. I haven't done much reading at all lately - I don't feel like I have the time. I must get back into it as I miss it. Daughters of Aquarius sounds really interesting - I've always been fascinated by the sixties.
